February Faves

I’m back again with another installment of my favorite things! I’ve purchased the below items and used them throughout the month of February. Tried and true, here are my February Faves!

Pop Sockets

I was introduced to this little do-dad by my dear friend Steph. She told me that holding her Apple devices were SO much easier with Pop Sockets. After her recommendation, I was sold.

Initially, I bought a bootlegged Pop Socket on accident. I didn’t realize Pop Socket is the brand and not just the name of the gadget. The “Not Pop Socket” pretty much had the same features and capabilities, but the knock off wasn’t as sturdy. Needless to say, shortly after I bought it, it broke.

After I realized my mistake, I hurried over to Amazon to place my order for a real Pop Socket. I’m pretty serious about my iPhone swagger, so I also ordered a new case to match.

Used Pop Socket

Unfortunately, the case worked but the Pop Socket didn’t. It looked as though someone used it and then decided to return it. The iPhone case is BEAUTIFUL and secure; I am still in awe that it was only $10. I ended up visiting Best Buy in person and buying my Pop Socket there.

So what exactly does it do, you ask? It makes your device easier to grip by removing some of the weight from your device. You’re less prone to drop your device because your finger slips into the Pop Socket to grip the device. This is one of those things I wish that I invented especially because I’m team drop-your-iPhone-on-your-face. It must be worth it since I went through hell and high water to get one (or three). Listed below are other cool uses for the gadget!

Mexican Vanilla Perfume by Dame

I discovered this brand via Scent and Sensibilities‘ blog post (in the comments section of all places). Another commenter on the post was raving about Dame Perfumery’s excellent customer service. I am a sucker for great products and great customer service because it makes spending my money fun. Naturally, I had to see what all the hype was about.

Dame is an American, family owned, online fragrance apothecary with several collections. Thankfully, they sell trial sizes for $10. I ordered two–Mexican Vanilla and Desert Rose. Not only did they send the two fragrances I ordered, but they sent me sample sizes of their ENTIRE COLLECTION and a sample Face Cream! The perfumes were packaged neatly and I felt so special opening it. The other fragrance I ordered, Desert Rose, was nice but not my style so I gifted it to my Grandmother (she loved it!). The Mexican Vanilla is reminiscent to all of my favorite high end fragrances–Flowerbomb, Mademoiselle, Miss Dior–sweet, bold, and rich. I’m going to buy the 100ml full size because it’s only $85!

Custom Beverage Tumbler

A perk of being named Domenique is that your health insurance claims are less likely to process incorrectly as in comparison to a “John Smith.” The unfortunate part? It is really hard to purchase keychains at Disney World.

The world of customization is made possible thanks to Etsy.com. After contacting several vendors with my customization request, Life By Beauty was able to fulfill. I ordered this beautiful custom tumbler with my logo’s font!

At the time, it seemed like a really bright idea to fill my tumbler with orange juice and ice. I was trying to make an aesthetically pleasing ombré beverage but ran out of cranberry juice. Then, the tumbler frosted over. Although the photo is a fail, my custom tumbler is not.

Silk Almond Milk Yogurt

I love yogurt. No, like, reeeeeally love yogurt (hi, yogurt parfait recipe). I’m always in somebody’s grocery aisle throwing yogurt in my cart. The Silk Almond Milk Dark Chocolate Coconut is literally all of my favorite flavors wrapped up into one and it’s absolutely delicious! Although I still consume dairy products, I’m opening up to more plant based dairy alternatives. I’m delighted that I tried this product and it works for me!

This yogurt also comes in several other flavors including: peach almond, strawberry almond, vanilla almond, and plain almond. The consistency of non-dairy yogurt is lighter and creamier than that of traditional yogurt. Once raspberries are back in season, I’m going to toss in a few along with some coconut flakes for a tropical snack! Silk Almond Milk Yogurt is a fairly new product in grocery stores near me. Peace and Love,

Honestly, I’m through with a “curated blogger page,” I’m going back to posting whatever the hell I want. If you like selfies, thirst traps, quotes and ridiculous Instastories, let’s be friends on Instagram.

I’m not sure if I’m a fan of those pop sockets! They’re cute but I feel like they’d get in my way! I love your new phone case! & I laughed because you gave the perfume to your grandma and she loved it– must be one of those Grandma scents hahaha.
That tumbler is beautiful!!! That’s so awesome she was able to customize it for you just how you wanted!
& I’ve got to try that yogurt! I bought the peach one, I think, but I let it expire in my fridge. Dang it!

Haha! It was! Floral and heavy! But the Mexican Vanilla is intoxicating! It smells SO good!!! I’m so happy she was able to make it. It’s a tough thing to stick on precisely. I’m going to order another one but ask her to bling it out a bit more. I drink so much more water because I’m excited to use it! The yogurt is delicious!!! The soy based dairy free yogurt is good too, but a bit more tart than the almond milk variety. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about it!
