I love discovering new things to do in Miami. One can easily take living here for granted. It wasn’t until I moved away (twice) that I realized the grass isn’t always greener on the other side and my hometown is pretty damn cool.
The newest spot in Wynwood is 1800-Lucky, an Asian themed food hall. Wtf is a food hall, you ask? It’s bougie-hipster speak for food court or multi-vendor cafeteria. 1800-Lucky offers cuisine from China (menu pictured), bahn mi sandwiches courtesy of Vietnam, Korean Ramen and of course, the hipsters’ favorite, sushi.
Unfortunately, I am useless and can’t tell you how the food is. I have my local mom n’ pop Asian restaurants around the city that I love and adore and I can’t stomach paying $11 for vegetarian lo mein. I checked out their Yelp page before going and maybe that’s what discouraged me from overpaying for relatively cheap food (if purchased elsewhere)? Nevertheless, what I did try for you all were the drinks (obviously).
I ordered a traditional made with Knob Creek Whiskey. This $16 drink (gratuity included) had me in the clouds by the time I was finished. I also love the giant ice cube and the fresh zest garnish.
They have an extensive bar, so all of you brand connoisseurs, rejoice!
Outside, there’s a DJ spinning and an ice cream bar with the cutest lil ice cream cones! The waffle cone has red beans at the bottom. I didn’t get one because I opted to drink my calories, but my gal pal got the unicorn cone.
Along with the dining options inside, there’s also a novelty shop selling all kinds of goodies.
At night, this place is JUMPING and definitely worth a pop in while you’re making your Wynwood rounds. Great drinks, cool atmosphere, (insert opinion about food here) eats… 1-800-Lucky awaits you.
See you on the flip side,
Are we Instagram Fam? See the behind the scenes shenanigans first hand. 😈
oh myyy this sounds great! Food halls are becoming more popular round London too and I LOVE it! Any place where I can easily pick up like 4 different snacks is a big ole yes from me xx

Right?! I’m like, I can have a bahn mi, fried rice, annnnnnd a rainbow roll and rinse it down with whiskey? Sign me up! 😭 There’s another fantastic food hall here in SoFla that I hope to visit soon! You’ll have to take us on a trip to the London food halls! I’d love to see what’s available. 😋

I thought you were just being super playful with the title and got little surprised when that was the name of the place haha. Looks very interesting, but $16 for a drink? omg…. that seems like a lot. Is that normal in Miami?

Haha, it’s because I’m always cheeky. 😉 Yes, unfortunately, that is a typical Miami Beach pricetag for a top shelf adult beverage. It was an excellent drink though! It’s best to pre-game before going out to avoid $100 bar tabs!

That’s crazy! Definitely need to pre-drink then if prices are so high lol

Nice. I have yet to hit up Wynwood but we’ll see if I attend Art Basel this year or something. I have been to this great spot in South Beach called Big Pink. The best chicken and waffles I have ever had. They have tons of other American dishes as big as your head and way more than your stomach can hold.

Big Pink is one of my favorite places to eat on SoBe! Did you know it’s owned by the same folks as Prime 112?! You should definitely check out Wynwood if you like a casual bar situation. It’s gotten a bit touristy, but still a great place to snap great pics and kick back with friends. Thanks for reading!
