Lookbook + Review: Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Soft Glam Palette

Y’all know how much I love a good drugstore product, but when I first laid eyes on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette, I knew Anastasia hand crafted this JUST for me. In fact, this is my first high-end palette! I ordered the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette from Sephora.com along with my favorite Huda Beauty Lashes. I damn near fainted when I opened the box!

The color selection is everything you’ll need for a classic, seductive eye. Below, I’ve created several looks with using JUST the Soft Glam palette!

Now that I’ve seen the high-end light, I think it’s time for me to retire my Morphe 35O Palette. When I was first learning how to blend and practice eyeshadow application techniques, I didn’t want to make a huge investment with a $40+ palette. The Morphe 35O Palette worked for me at the time and allowed me to create new color combinations that I wouldn’t otherwise try.

I find myself reaching solely for my Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette because it has the colors that I use most often from the Morphe 35O Palette, but the pigment and blendability is so much better.

I also prefer the size of this palette for traveling and storage. Speaking of traveling, I love that there’s a makeup brush and a mirror contained within the palette.

Realistically, the palette’s color selection has all you’ll need to create a multitude of looks. There’s no need to supplement other colors (unlike the Juvia’s Place palette–read my review here).

There is a bit of fallout, but if you tap your brush before applying, it doesn’t drastically effect your look. If you apply foundation before eyes, it may be wise to use an under eye shield or apply extra setting powder.

Some of the colors in this palette are the same shades in the Modern Renaissance Palette. I’m actually relieved that Anastasia Beverly Hills decided to do this; how you gon’ transition without Orange Soda, Sway? How? The other duplicate shades are Cypress Umber, Burnt Orange, and Tempura. Anastasia and her team got the memo: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

I have received SO many compliments on my makeup since switching to this palette. I am really impressed with the way these eyeshadows perform!

It’s soooo beautiful! I am new to the palette gang, but it’s the most beautiful, all inclusive neutral palette I’ve ever seen! I haaaaad to grab it (especially because I’m super cheap, lol). Thanks for reading! 💕

This palette really does look like the perfect combination of colors. So nice to just need one. I’d love to one day be as precise with my makeup applications like you are. I have maybe two looks, and one is only different because I make my cat eye longer and add lipstick. 😄 Slowly but surely. Beautiful job, girl.

Wow! Thank you for your kind words! I’m pretty average at applying makeup but practice makes perfect! I was scrolling through Instagram and I saw one of the little “this was my makeup on 2015 this is my makeup now!” posts and I am definitely 2015 level! 😂😂😂 You must try this palette. It’s soooo good! 💕
